Role Overview:
The Client Benefits Advisor will be responsible for:
- Overseeing and nurturing the comprehensive relationship with a portfolio of clients, providing strategic advisory services, ensuring service excellence, managing financial aspects, designing plans, formulating pricing strategies, analyzing market trends, negotiating contract renewals, and conducting benchmarking.
- Creating and executing strategies aimed at enhancing client retention.
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients and key decision-makers.
- Effectively managing client expectations and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
- Assessing the Group Insurance risks faced by clients and recommending suitable plan designs and cost-saving strategies.
- Formulating annual plans for clients to guarantee they receive value-added services that align with their objectives.
- Being accountable for the revenue and profitability associated with client accounts and projects.
- Identifying innovative growth opportunities within the client portfolio through cross-selling multiple products and delivering unique solutions.
- Actively participating in the acquisition of new clients through leads generated from competitive bidding platforms, targeted networking, and referrals.
- Managing client expectations based on anticipated growth from the sales team.
- Engaging in continuous education to maintain a comprehensive understanding of employee benefit regulations, administrative matters, plan guidelines, claims management, and client-specific processes.
- Participating in industry conferences and seminars to promote services and stay updated on industry trends.
- Representing People Corporation in the marketplace and acting as a brand ambassador.
- Maintaining in-depth knowledge of the full range of People Corporation products and services.
- Fostering positive relationships with suppliers to build strong partnerships for clients.
- Building and sustaining strong relationships with colleagues and various practice areas across the organization.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Group Benefits in a client-facing or consulting role, delivering strategic and innovative solutions to complex benefits challenges.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Group Benefits sector, including funding and underwriting frameworks.
- Strong analytical and mathematical capabilities, alongside strategic planning, communication, and listening skills.
- Exceptional organizational abilities with the capacity to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
- A positive demeanor and a collaborative team player who engages effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- A results-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Capability to meet deadlines and deliver results as required.
- Comfort and proficiency in utilizing multi-channel technology.
- Completion of or the ability to complete the Life License Qualification Program within a specified timeframe upon joining.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
- A valid Driver's License and access to a vehicle.
- Possession of or progress towards a Group Benefits Associate (GBA) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation is advantageous.
