Position Overview

The Culinary Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily activities within the food service department. This role involves managing staff, ensuring quality control, and maintaining operational efficiency.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a supervisory role within food services
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet work schedules effectively.
  • Order food and kitchen supplies as needed.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food preparation and portioning staff.
  • Provide training to staff on job responsibilities, sanitation, and safety protocols.
  • Recruit and hire food service personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control standards for food and service.
  • Prepare budgets and cost estimates for departmental operations.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste management.
  • Compile food order summaries for the chef.
  • Oversee the assembly of food trays and the delivery of food trolleys.
  • Establish and manage work schedules for staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise a team of 1 to 2 individuals.

Work Environment
  • Fast-paced setting with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, bending, crouching, and kneeling may be required.
