Position Overview

The Culinary Services Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing food preparation and service operations. This position requires a blend of leadership, organization, and a commitment to quality.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary school is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet work schedules efficiently.
  • Order necessary food and kitchen supplies to maintain operations.
  • Oversee and coordinate the activities of staff involved in food preparation and portioning.
  • Provide training to staff regarding their job responsibilities, sanitation practices, and safety protocols.
  • Recruit and hire food service personnel as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control standards for food and service.
  • Prepare financial budgets and cost estimates for food services.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste management.
  • Compile food order summaries for the chef.
  • Supervise the assembly of food trays and the delivery of food trolleys.
  • Establish and manage work schedules for staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Responsible for supervising a small team of 1 to 2 individuals.
