Key Responsibilities:

The Sales Manager will oversee a direct sales team consisting of 7 to 10 Regional, National, and Global Account Managers. This role involves developing and implementing a Sales Strategy aimed at meeting and surpassing the assigned team quota. Direct engagement with customers will constitute a significant aspect of this position. The Sales Manager will report directly to the Director of Sales.

Responsible for recruiting, training, and nurturing a diverse team of Account Managers in the sale of Dedicated Internet Access (DIA), Ethernet Point-to-Point, Colocation, and IP Transit across the SMB, Corporate, and Enterprise market segments on a regional, national, and global scale. Drive, achieve, and exceed sales revenue and productivity targets. Manage and leverage pipeline management for each sales representative. Focus on time management to ensure efficiency in meeting the goals and metrics established for Account Managers.

Required Qualifications:

We seek candidates who embrace challenges, are self-motivated, driven, and demonstrate a strong work ethic. Success is measured not by years of experience but by achievements during those years. Candidates must possess a proven track record of success in selling Cogent's product offerings, experience in generating new business, and strong leadership, coaching, and management skills. A college degree is preferred. Proficiency in CRM systems and PC-based applications such as Word and Excel is essential. Some travel may be necessary. Multilingual capabilities, specifically in Canadian French (Québécois) and English, are required.
