POSITION SUMMARY
Mosaic is seeking a District Manager to lead our dynamic and expanding organization. The District Manager plays a crucial role in assembling and overseeing a team of Sales Representatives, which includes both full-time and part-time staff. This position entails managing the Sales Representatives and driving revenue in both Big Box and Grocery sectors. The District Manager will collaborate closely with the Regional Field Manager, ensuring consistent communication and monitoring of the field teams' performance against established goals. Additionally, the District Manager will oversee budget management and compliance with all company regulations.
This role is primarily home-based and requires a willingness to travel between 50% and 75% within the designated district for field visits, as well as occasional trips to client headquarters or retailer meetings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The District Manager will:
- Act as the primary liaison for Sales Representatives within their district, providing ongoing sales support, training, and merchandising execution for a diverse range of clients.
- Be responsible for the final selection and hiring of team members, managing all facets of their training, scheduling, visit execution, report completion, and overall team performance.
- Analyze field performance metrics and set team and individual performance targets with a strong emphasis on accountability.
- Interpret data effectively to devise strategies that achieve district and program objectives.
- Regularly share field insights and competitive analysis with clients and field teams to enhance district performance.
- Maintain continuous engagement, coaching, mentoring, and support for team members both individually and in group settings to ensure business objectives are met and surpassed.
- Demonstrate adaptability to evolving business conditions while proactively ensuring that the field organization meets or exceeds client expectations.
- Foster strong relationships with store personnel and management through consistent and professional communication.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of relevant management experience in retail, merchandising, training, sales, or field marketing.
- Prior experience in retail sales and merchandising management, particularly in Grocery and Big Box environments, is highly preferred.
- A designated home office with reliable Internet access is required.
- Proficient computer skills, including the use of the internet, email, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- A natural ability to lead a team effectively, fostering team spirit and achieving objectives.
- An outgoing and professional demeanor with the capacity to establish relationships quickly.
- Self-driven with strong organizational capabilities, able to work independently with minimal supervision while upholding ethical and professional standards.
- Communicate daily with supervisors regarding field issues, including significant concerns, representative turnover, and program challenges using solution-oriented communication.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Willingness to travel within and outside the assigned territory as necessary.
