Position Overview

Stofa Restaurant is seeking a dedicated Baker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for baking and a commitment to quality.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting 1 to 2 years.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year in a similar role.
Work Environment

The successful applicant will work in a fast-paced restaurant setting, contributing to the preparation of a variety of baked goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare dough for various baked items including pies, bread, rolls, and pastries.
  • Order and manage necessary materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Bake and finish mixed dough and batters to perfection.
  • Handle special customer requests and orders.
  • Decorate cakes and baked items with frostings and toppings.
  • Ensure product quality meets established standards.
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas for cleanliness and organization.
  • Operate baking machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain inventory and ensure proper stock levels.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with specific dietary needs.
  • Maintain and service kitchen equipment.
