Position Overview

Northern Health is seeking a skilled, highly organized, and proactive permanent full-time Executive Administrative Coordinator to assist the PG Health Services division.

The Executive Administrative Coordinator for Prince George Health Services is tasked with the responsibility of coordinating, organizing, and delivering confidential secretarial and administrative assistance to members of the PG leadership team and their respective portfolios.

This role involves providing support in the planning, execution, and assessment of programs and services that align with and contribute to Northern Health's vision, mission, values, and strategic objectives.

The Executive Administrative Coordinator collaborates with various departments and functions as an integral member of a broader business and administrative support team.

The starting salary for this position ranges from $48,476 to $60,594, depending on education, training, experience, and the salaries of comparable roles.

Qualifications
  • Completion of Grade 12 supplemented by a diploma or certificate in Business or Office Administration, along with three (3) to five (5) years of progressive administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience with electronic staff scheduling and human resource information systems in a large multi-union environment is an asset.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain respectful relationships with staff, physicians, all levels of the organization, and the public.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible to changing priorities and demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to initiate, organize, and complete work projects independently, adhering to established priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database applications, and other software.
  • Strong decision-making and analytical skills to resolve issues.
  • Ability to record and transcribe meeting minutes and organize administrative follow-through on action items.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Judgment, tact, and discretion in handling confidential or sensitive information.
  • Broad knowledge of office administration practices and basic accounting procedures.
  • Basic research skills to investigate issues and compile information.
  • Initiative to develop and lead improvements to systems, procedures, and processes.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
