About the Role

The First Nations Health Authority is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Health Coordinator to join our team. As a Regional Health Coordinator, you will play a key role in the delivery of culturally safe, efficient, and quality Primary Care Services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Primary Care Manager and Primary Care Project Manager in the coordination and implementation of primary care services and initiatives with Northern First Nations communities.
  • Provide operational and administrative support for the coordination and implementation of primary care services and initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with health partners, including Divisions of Family Practice, Northern Health Authority, and First Nations Health Service Organizations.
  • Collaborate with the Mental Wellness and Addiction Teams to integrate primary care with mental wellness and addiction services.
  • Support the development and implementation of program planning, development, implementation, and evaluation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Three (3) years or more related experience, including a previous Coordinator or Administrative role, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Recent, relevant experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience working with First Nations communities or organizations, including political leadership.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster collaborative partnerships.
  • High level motivation, with a positive attitude and high degree of flexibility in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience in project coordination, with the ability to organize and prioritize work and balance multiple activities concurrently.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to work comfortably with spreadsheets, presentations, diagramming, and word processing software.
