Position Overview

Northern Health is seeking a proficient and organized permanent full-time Administrative Coordinator to assist the Medical Affairs division.

Reporting directly to the Director/Executive Lead or their designate, the Administrative Coordinator offers confidential administrative support and secretarial services to the Director/Executive Lead or their designate, as well as to various programs and services within the relevant Health Service Delivery Area (HSDA)/Region or Corporate Department of Northern Health (NH). This role involves managing sensitive information, facilitating the flow of communication, ensuring the timely delivery of administrative services, and keeping the Director/Executive Lead or their designate informed of pertinent issues and activities. The position requires interaction primarily with directors, managers, and their administrative teams across the HSDA/Region and throughout NH, representing the interests of the Director/Executive Lead professionally, sharing information, clarifying details, and addressing inquiries. The Administrative Coordinator works autonomously and engages with both internal and external stakeholders in a manner that fosters positive and respectful relationships.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting salary for this position ranges from $48,476 to $60,594, determined by education, training, experience, and comparative salaries for similar roles.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized administrative assistant or secretarial post-secondary program, along with three (3) years of senior administrative support experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, desktop publishing, and database software is required, with a typing speed of at least 60 words per minute.
