- As the Youth Coordinator in the Community and Youth Services Section, you will be responsible for conducting research such as data mining, environmental scanning, reporting and maintenance and analysis of tracking systems. You will also answer inquiries and compile documents that communicate resources, programs and referral information about services for children, youth, families and service providers. Primary duties include:

- Complete and maintain an environmental scan of youth services with the Calgary Police and external agencies within the City of Calgary.
- Receive service requests from the schools and the greater community for education and community events.
- Coordinate and support Youth Intervention programs.
- Organize internal and external events as required.
- Support the website project tasks by acting as an administrator and liaison between the Calgary Police Service and website designers.
- Assist the School Resource Officers (SROs) with the coordination of programming, events, training and other administrative duties including data collection.

**Qualifications**
- A degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience working in the social services community and familiarity with youth serving agencies within Calgary.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Publisher, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) is required.
- Previous experience in a law enforcement environment is considered an asset.
- Success in this position requires efficiency and thoroughness, service orientation, stress tolerance and team building and teamwork. An effective communicator with a focus on results and the ability to build strong relationships.

**Pre-employment Requirements**
- An enhanced security clearance will be conducted.
- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. Education obtained from out of country must have or be able to obtain, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) for confirmation of equivalent credentials.
