- The Rewards & Recognition Coordinator within the Office of the Regimental Sergeant Major, is responsible for supporting and coordinating signification celebrations of achievement for Calgary Police Service (CPS) members. Specific duties include:

- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans to ensure the successful hosting of various events.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external partners to plan, organize, and oversee all aspects of the event, ensuring its overall success.
- Coordinate with venue event planners, catering staff, entertainment providers, audiovisual teams, emcees, and suppliers to manage specific event logistics.
- Assist the Awards Board in nomination review, as well as prepare agendas and minute taking for board meetings.
- Manage the ordering process for awards and gifts, ensuring all orders are filled accurately and delivered on time.
- Maintain detailed records, perform necessary administrative tasks, and follow up on meetings related to awards and events.
- Track and oversee the distribution of service medals and awards based on years of service or performance.

**Qualifications**
- A certificate in business studies or event planning and a minimum of 5 years of event planning and administrative experience.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
- The successful applicant will be competent in communication, efficiency and thoroughness, focus on results, relationship building, service orientation, stress tolerance, team building and teamwork.

**Pre-employment Requirements**
- An enhanced security clearance will be conducted.
- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. Education obtained from out of country must have or be able to obtain, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) for confirmation of equivalent credentials.

- Compensation: Pay Grade 8 $36.58 - 48.91 per hour
