**Role Summary**

The Food and Beverage Events and Reservations Coordinator will work under the direction of the Banquet Manager and works closely with the food and beverage leadership team, including the Service Manager and Director. This role will be responsible for the administrative side of the food and beverage operation as well as assist with event bookings and reservations.

**Responsibilities**
- Ensure attire and personal appearance are clean, wrinkle-free, and professional
- Lead and facilitate event meetings to support the planning and execution of events
- Monitor and respond to private event and banquet inquiries
- Receive and confirm all member dining reservations and reservations for special events
- Coordinate all correspondence pertaining to Club in Club’s and ensure all participants have confirmed their attendance at their designated events
- Have a complete understanding of banquet events, suites, and club offerings
- Work directly with the Food and Beverage Banquet Manager to book and coordinate event setup and floor plans
- Create, update and tailor banquet function sheets to meet club standards, members request and needs
- Have a thorough knowledge of the Rideau Club, its history, and amenities
- Conduct site visits for potential members, event coordinators & guests
- Coordinate and execute the formatting and distribution of all food and beverage menus
- Create labels and printed material for the food and beverage operation
- Accurately translate all printed and posted communication pertaining to food and beverage including menus
- Greet and welcome guests to the Rideau Club for special events and ensure their experience is positive
- Aid individuals with disabilities including assisting visually, hearing, or physically impaired guests within the Rideau Club guidelines
- Serve as an individual contributor and department role model by performing technical or functional job duties such as serving or clearing tables, taking orders, etc.
- Participate in departmental meetings and provide feedback to improve member experience
- Produce weekly event calendar and circulate it to all leaders within the club and building parking manager to maintain consistent communication.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and carry out ideas and procedures to continuously improve department performance
- Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program
- Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in related field an asset
- 2-4 years experience in event logistics, coordination, Hospitality
- Previous Hotel or club experience an asset
- Comprehensive knowledge of fine food, wine and service, and event facilities, banquets, and event coordination
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Excellent time management and organization skills, including multi-tasking and attention to detail
- Bilingual, English, and French

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Must be extremely responsible with integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
- Meal provided onsite

**Working Conditions**
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Required to move, lift, carry, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
- Stand, sit or walk for an extended period or for an entire shift
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, and pulling
