Summary

The Food and Beverage Manager is a highly visible role with exposure to Senior leadership. This position reports to the Director of F&B. The Food and Beverage Manager will be responsible for managing the day to day operation of the restaurant, banquets, lounges and any other F&B outlets. This role will work closely with the Director of F&B and other departments to ensure seamless service in our outlets creating exceptional experiences for our guests and colleagues.

**Duties**:

- Manages the restaurants and lounges while supporting other Food and Beverage outlets
- Works closely with other hotel departments
- Responsible for short and long term planning of staffing needs
- Ensure effective hiring, training, development, promotion and continuous reinforcement
- Lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and colleague satisfaction results
- Full understanding of colleague engagement
- Develop and implement creative strategies for revenue enhancement and cost containment at the outlets
- Manage within the approved plans for outlets
- Responsible for maintaining a high energy, positive, professional appearance
- Plan, coordinate & manage special events and holiday functions
- Set and follow Health and Safety standards
- Attend meetings as required
- Serve as a role model for all colleagues
- Ability to create and share cost saving tactics and ideas

**Qualifications**:

- Requires full flexibility, ability to work weekends, evenings, nights and holidays and a varied schedule
- Must have smart serve and food handler certification
- A true desire to understand and anticipate the needs of others in a fast paced environment
- Refined verbal and written communication skills
- Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, including a working knowledge of point of sale systems
- Strong food and beverage knowledge
- Ability to work long shifts while moving between various outlets
- Beverage knowledge must include wine, spirits and beer
- Ability to create a refined and innovative bar experience
- Luxury Hotel or independent upscale bar F&B experience considered an asset
- thorough understanding and compliance with all health and safety regulations
- 3 years of progressive F&B leadership required
- Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, and effective in providing exceptional customer service
