**ROLE**:Payroll Administrator (Contract up to 6 months)

**REPORTS TO**:Payroll Manager

**LOCATION**:Burnaby, BC

We are looking for a **Payroll Administrator** to join our Finance Team Our Payroll Administrator is responsible for timely and accurate processing of biweekly payroll using Avanti for 150+ employees that includes multi jurisdiction, salaried, hourly, and union. You will also process all staffing changes including new hires, leaves, transfers, salary adjustments, terminations, or other changes.

- You have experience with both Union and Non-Union Canadian Payroll
- You have experience in managing benefits

**EXPERIENCE**
- You have your **PCP designation** from the Payroll Association
- You have **2-4 years of related experience in payroll** and benefits
- You have experience with Accounting
- You have strong knowledge of federal and provincial regulations
- You have excellent **Excel experience** (Pivot tables/reporting)

**NICE-TO-HAVE**
- You have experience with Avanti Software if possible
- You can speak French

**THINGS YOU WILL DO**
- Champion regular payroll activities for all Canadian Payroll
- Provide excellent customer service and answering any employee related questions and request in a timely manner for both payroll and benefits
- Reconcile all payroll filings and prepare accurate journal entries
- Prepare Record of Employment within legislated timelines when require
- Assist with special projects, such as implementation of new Payroll software to new entities

- You might need to work overtime during months ends

**DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES**:

- Assist in processing all staff changes including new hires, leaves, transfers, salary adjustments, termination, or other changes
- Assist in WCB/WSIB/EHT remittances and reporting
- Assist in benefit records enrollments, terminations updates, entering data as required and ensure all necessary documents and changes are made in a timely manner
- Assist in reconciling all benefits schedules
- Administer and reconcile group benefits, third party payments

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: $28.00-$35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Burnaby, BC V5C 0E4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Payroll: 2 years (required)
- Unionized payroll: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- PCP Certification (required)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Burnaby, BC V5C 0E4
