**PAYROLL AND ACCOUNTING ADMINISTRATOR**
**Located 5 minutes from Royal Oak Skytrain Station**
We are a well-established Accounting Practice located in central Burnaby B.C. and are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator
**The Role - **as Payroll Administrator you will be responsible for administering weekly payroll for approximately 450 employees that are employed by our various clients, in a timely manner. Working independently to calculate employee wages, taxes and benefit deductions using KIS Canadian Payroll system as well as ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulation, is a must.
**Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities**
Payroll Functions include but are not limited to:
- Processing Timesheets
- Setting up new Employees
- Processing of Payroll in a timely manner to meet deadlines
- Terminating employees and filing ROE’s
- Remitting CRA Payments
- Quarterly Employer Health Tax and Worksafe submissions
- Payroll Year End Processing
- T4 Filing
- Supporting individual clients’ requests and resolving issues that arise
**General Accounting Functions**:
In addition to weekly payroll, assisting Senior Accountant with various tasks as required
**Education and Experience**
- High school diploma and Post Secondary Education an asset
- 3 Years of Payroll Experience
- Knowledge of BC Labour Standards
- MS Office and knowledge of accounting software
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures
**Key Competencies**
- Excellent Data Entry skills
- Self-starter, can work with minimum supervision and quick learner
- Able to follow and execute instructions
- Customer service orientation and excellent communication skills
- Able to work efficiently and prioritize deadlines
- Accounting 1 year experience preferred

Pay: $48,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
