We are currently recruiting for a **Payroll Administrator for our Metrotown office in Burnaby, BC**. As a Payroll Administrator, you will play a crucial role in the payroll department by managing incoming employee changes, handling employee inquiries, and generating general ad hoc reports. Your expertise in data entry, proficiency in both written and verbal French and English communication, as well as advanced Excel and Microsoft Windows skills will be essential for excelling in this payroll professional role.

**What You’ll Do**

Payroll and Data Management
- Take ownership of the payroll data for the designated location(s), maintaining strict confidentiality and security.
- Accurately and efficiently input and update payroll information, including new hires, changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations, adhering to established timelines and procedures.
- Perform regular audits of payroll records to verify data accuracy, promptly addressing and resolving any discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls to maintain the integrity and reliability of payroll data.
- Serve as the first point of contact for all payroll inquiries and questions, delivering exceptional customer experiences by providing timely and accurate responses with a friendly and helpful approach.

Data Accuracy and Validation
- Implement thorough data validation procedures to cross-check the accuracy and completeness of all payroll entries.
- Collaborate with HR and other relevant departments to validate employee information and resolve any data inconsistencies.
- Continuously monitor data quality and take proactive measures to enhance accuracy and completeness.
- Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in data entry techniques, utilizing advanced Excel and Microsoft Windows skills to expedite and streamline the payroll process.
- Exercise attention to detail during data entry to minimize errors and enhance the overall quality of payroll data.

General
- Collaborate in supporting the bi-weekly g/l interface for accounting purposes, and the review and import of time and attendance entries from Kronos Workforce Dimensions into ADP Workforce Now.
- Generate custom reports upon request, providing valuable insights for management and HR teams.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency.
- Undertake other duties as assigned to contribute to the smooth functioning of the payroll department.

Minimum of 1 year of exposure to payroll procedures, showcasing a fundamental understanding of payroll practices.
- Fluency in both English and French is required, enabling effective communication with our diverse workforce.
- Experience with ADP and Kronos Workforce Dimensions is an asset, however, not required.
- Completion of or working towards certification or a degree in an accredited payroll program is preferred, demonstrating specialized knowledge in payroll administration.
