The** Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), Ontario** is a provincial association, committed to improving services and support for individuals living with mental illnesses and addictions issues, and to the promotion of mental health in Ontario.

CMHA Ontario in partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture Food and Rural Affairs operates Agriculture Wellness Ontario, a suite of programs that bring mental health education, counselling services and enhanced community support to agricultural communities across the province.

**Job Summary**

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a **Program Outreach Coordinator - Guardian Network.** This position works with the agricultural community to promote and deliver mental health programming and resources with a special focus on the Guardian Network. A key piece of this work involves face to face meetings and participation in agricultural events across the province.

**Core Responsibilities**
- Coordinate and oversee the Guardian Network’s outreach strategy in collaboration with the Program and Engagement Managers.
- Support coordination of outreach planning, scheduling and budgets.
- Respond to and support coordination of outreach and presentation requests.
- Deliver outreach presentations at agricultural events, regional forums, conferences, workshops, and symposia.
- Table at relevant trade shows, events and conferences to promote and grow brand recognition of the programs.
- Provide facilitation and moderation support to Agricultural Mental Health programs (including _In the Know_ and _The Guardian Network_)
- Work closely with CMHA branch staff across Ontario to promote The Guardian Network within their catchment. Make contacts in each branch region, be able to make links and support branch staff at agricultural events, fairs or community events.
- Engage with key program stakeholders, including farmer suicide prevention networks in other provinces and Ontario-based farming associations, to support program promotion and delivery.
- Coordinate and provide regular program updates to the appropriate Program Manager.
- Contribute to annual plans and reports and submit regular activity updates to the Senior Manager, Agriculture Wellness Ontario.
- Participate in internal meetings, including training opportunities within Provincial Programs Department.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Skill-Based Competencies**
- Education: Degree or diploma in social work, community work, psychology, public health or a related field or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required.
- Knowledge of, or commitment to, learning about the Ontario agricultural community.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds to build trust and rapport.
- Interpersonal Skills: Experience building relationship and working collaboratively colleagues, community members, partners and the public.
- Ethics and Boundaries: A strong understanding of professional ethics and boundaries.
- A valid drivers license, and/or ability to travel.

**Working Conditions**

This position is also a desk job with extended periods of sitting, reading, telephone interaction, and working at the computer. This position involves some moderate lifting, shipping, and handling. Attendance at various meetings throughout the workday/workweek will be required; meetings may occur on short notice, depending on the circumstances.

This position is within the OPSEU Bargaining Unit.

**Salary**: This position pays between $71,379.58 and $73,520.97 per annum, based on a 35-hour work week.

The salary within the grid for this role ranges between $71,379.58 at Step 1 and $80,338.34 at Step 5. The initial salary offered for this position falls between Step 1 and Step 2 of the salary grid as posted above.
