This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career.
The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Human Resources Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- _ Leading local implementation of Global prioritized people strategies and HR programs that align to business strategies in compliance with local employment, labour and requirements and regulations_
- _ Supporting the change journey by supporting employees and leaders as they implement key messages, drive to achieve milestones, and work to build engagement - embracing change as an early adapter_
- _ Providing guidance and counsel to leaders and employees on company guidelines, employee relations issues, compliance issues, and performance management_
- _ Participating on local and USAC HR projects, continuous improvement teams, and program implementations_
- _ Leading and participating in investigations on human resource concerns across multiple business and functional organizations across USAC and in the follow-up corrective actions_
- _ Lead and / or facilitate issue resolution across a variety of HR processes to ensure compliance with local requirements (e.g., tax, payroll, compliance, training, etc.). This will require careful planning, stakeholder and project management to ensure a sustainable solution._
- _ Utilization of leading technology platforms to enable and facilitate desired outcomes._
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education combined with HR certification (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Five (5) years of Human Resources experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Certified Human Resources Professional designation
- Ability to influence and challenge leaders
- Experience advocating for employees along with being an advocate for our D & I initiatives
- Solid business acumen that enables you to quickly understand client’s needs while implementing various strategies and programs
- Demonstrated proficiency in writing and analytical skills
Work location:
- Work Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid)
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international (valid driver’s license is preferred)
