At **Praguery**, we pride ourselves on offering high-quality pastries made from **natural, premium ingredients**. Our menu features a wide range of products, including chimney cakes, cream puffs, cheesecakes, danishes, and more. Our central kitchen plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and freshness of everything we serve.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries
- Be able to work independently
- Develop and refine new and existing pastry recipes.
- Monitor the cost and gross margins of pastry items, ensuring adherence to profit goals.
- Prepare toppings and ice cream fillings
- Make orders to suppliers
- Experience with dough sheeting without any supervision
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff and pastry assistants.
- Ensure all pastries are prepared in a timely and consistent manner for daily service.
- Collaborate with the management team to innovate and introduce seasonal pastries.
- Oversee ordering of supplies and manage inventory for the pastry section.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace following health and safety regulations.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum 2 year baking/pastry Production/Commercial Kitchen environment work experience
- Has at least 6 month experience with dough sheeting
- Ice Cream formulation and balancing (preferred)
- Strong Creativity
- Familiarity with pastry piping
- Follow our procedures/recipes to meet our product standard
- Physically fit and able to lift 20kg
- High energy to work effectively
- Punctual & reliable to show up all scheduled shifts
- Attentive to detail and understands the importance of a clean, organized kitchen
- Good English language communication skills
**COMPENSATION**:
- Starts $26/h + tips
- Benefit after 3 months approbation full-time
Pay: From $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
