Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pastry Chef to join our team at Milano Global Hospitality Ltd.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating exquisite pastries, breads, and cakes, as well as excellent leadership skills to train and manage a team of pastry chefs.

About the Role
  • To oversee the preparation and presentation of all baked goods, including dough, batters, icings, and frostings, according to recipes or special customer orders
  • To requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained
  • To bake mixed dough and batters, frost and decorate cakes and baked goods, and ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
  • To draw up production schedules, train staff, and schedule staff to meet the needs of the business
  • To maintain high standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required, but a degree in baking and pastry arts or a related field would be an asset
  • At least 2 years to less than 3 years of experience as a senior pastry chef in a reputable bakery or hotel
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train and manage a team of pastry chefs
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating exceptional pastries, breads, and cakes
Work Environment
  • Public transportation is available nearby, making it easy to get to work on time
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and strong organizational skills
Salary and Benefits

Our company offers a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as group insurance benefits, gratuities, and a permanent position with opportunities for advancement.
