Here is what you will be doing:
The Manager, Information and Analytics Governance will be responsible for co-developing and implementing Ontario Health’s first comprehensive Data & Information and Governance Program through strategy, policy, and processes. The Manager will have a strong, collaborative relationship with Leaders across the organization, including Digital Excellence in Health (DxH) and our Privacy Program. The Manager’s primary objective will be to champion the overall vision for enterprise governance across OH and generate support and buy-in from OH Executives and portfolios. They will also be required to understand the organization’s current maturity of governance and develop a clear roadmap towards the future vision. The Manager’s goals will ensure the accuracy, availability, integrity, and standardization of information and/or analytics assets while complying with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. The Manager will partner with various Portfolio leads across Ontario Health to develop, implement and manage these policies ensuring organization compliance through routine evaluation. The Manager will also ensure that governance policy and processes align with the Provincial Health Data and Digital Service (PHDDS); a provincial priority initiative led by the MOH and he/she will be an active participant of this initiative. The Manager will lead a growing team and will contribute to the overall success of the Data Services program ensuring specific goals, plans and initiatives are executed in support of the team’s and Ontario Health’s strategic objectives.
Here is what you will need to be successful:
Governance Management:
- Co-develop and implement a robust information and data governance framework in partnership with other OH portfolio leads, and in alignment with organizational objectives, the MOH and industry best practices.- Co-design an enterprise-wide data and information stewardship model, in alignment with MOH and Ontario Health Data Council (OHDC) recommendations and the PHDDS initiative- Support Directors and VPs with the launch of the Enterprise Data and Information Governance Subcommittee which reports into the Digital, Data and Analytics (DDA) Committee, and oversee designated workstream activities as required- Represent OH as an active participant in the MOH’s Governance and Stewardship Provincial Working Group, keeping OH Leaders and Executives appraised of critical updates- Design, document, and enforce governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure information quality, integrity, and accessibility throughout its lifecycle, and through operationalizing OH’s hub and spoke model and information management plan.- Works with program partners and DxH colleagues to facilitate the development of product strategies, roadmaps, and corresponding operational plans for governance processes, tools and products- Provides strategic guidance in defining enterprise goals through comprehensive business models (including vision, goals, objectives, mission, tactics, roadmaps, plans, capability maps, and value stream maps) that ensure traceability and are aligned with governance metrics.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, classify, and inventory information assets, and establish ownership and accountability.- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure Information and Data governance initiatives align with business requirements and integrates privacy and security requirements at every phase to develop secure and responsible management of data and information.- Define and enforce information and data stewardship and access and usage policies to ensure compliance with relevant privacy regulations.- Implement information and analytic governance tools and systems, including metadata management, lineage, and data quality tools.- Co
