Toronto, Canada Ontario Federation of Indigenous Friendship Centres Full time

**Objective**:
To deliver OFIFC's IT strategy, aligning IT deployment in a culturally sensitive, commercially effective manner that resonates with Indigenous values, managing the systems, and maximizing the adoption of technologies while honoring and integrating Indigenous culture and community needs.

**Key Deliverables**:

- Oversee the quality of the delivered services internally and externally by the vendor
- Reliable, user-friendly, enabling technology systems
- User satisfaction with IT service
- Strong cybersecurity, information security and mitigation of risks

**Key Responsibilities**:
IT Strategy (20%)
- Responsible for the delivery of all aspects of the IT strategy, budget, resources, systems, third-party management
- Analyzes business needs of user groups and works closely with the management team to present technical solutions and recommendations.
- Ensure that enhancements are business focused and come with a clear ROI and link through to the overall IT strategy
- Participates with OFIFC IT service provider in the development, implementation and monitoring of management information and network systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security and legal and regulatory compliance;
IT Infrastructure + Applications (40%)
- Responsible for the overall business systems roadmap under the IT strategy; Maintains an always-available infrastructure for all users of systems
- Directs the implementation of computer system needs for management and functional operations, oversees in the execution of projects and equipment acquisitions;
- Develops a real-time reporting framework to deliver information to the senior management team and all stakeholders
- Identifies vulnerabilities and manages releases, upgrades and patches if required
- Consults with software and hardware vendors and other established workers to solve problems related to technology;
- Manages the liaison between users and operations personnel in the areas of system design, modifications or troubleshooting;
- Negotiates contracts with consultants, technical personnel and vendors for services and products;

IT Risk Management + Cyber Security (15%)
- Responsible for all IT security across the organization, identify and mitigate security risks;
- Takes a proactive approach to securing data and system integrity;
- Prepares disaster recovery and business continuity plans;
Team Management (25%)
- Ensures regular planning and reviews are carried out for all individuals supported;
- Promotes and supports effective teamwork through good communication and regular team meetings;
- Drives performance by mentoring, supporting, setting, and tracking objectives;
- Develops the team through regular feedback and providing in-the-job learning by delegating responsibilities;
- Promotes a healthy, safe work environment;
- Performs other duties, related to the position, as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer or designate;
**Technical Competencies**:
Regular maintenance of current knowledge of ever-changing technology in the IT fields

Experience in digital and cloud transformations

Solid working knowledge of current security protocols and threats.

Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to exercise strong judgment in analyzing appraising evaluating and solving problems of a difficult procedural, organizational administrative or technical nature

**Education/Work Experience**:
Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field, and/or relevant professional experience

5-7 years’ experience including experience leading an entire IT function

Demonstrated IT management skills to deliver and evaluate information & technology systems preferably within in the not-for-profit sector
