Bookkeeper/administrative Assistant

This role is in a small private school in West Ottawa. We need help with the weekly bookkeeping and administrative tasks. This role is one day a week with a schedule that includes working on-site and remotely.
Our school is an outdoor school with a creative and resourceful staff team. We're hard working and committed to our relationships with our family community, each other and the environment.
**Responsibilities**:
- Perform various administrative tasks to support the weekly bookkeeping
- Handle accounts payable functions, including processing invoices and issuing payments
- Assist with budgeting activities and monitor expenses
- Maintain staff documentation requirements and records
Qualifications:
- Friendly and clear written and verbal communication skills
- Proven experience in administrative or accounting roles
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Online
- Strong knowledge of governmental accounting principles and practices
- Knowledge of tax regulations and ability to handle tax-related tasks
- Experience in budgeting activities is a plus
