- What Is the Opportunity?


- Works with project teams providing financial requirements, maintaining the functionality and ensuring effectiveness of those systems. Acts as a representative for business user, influences and/or participates in broader organizational activities and planning. Develops and coordinates the department's knowledge, including the creation and deployment of training to ensure the business users ability to effectively and efficiently use the various systems available to Finance. Key point of contact from Finance Information Technology department, managing the relationship and representing the department through Information Technology initiatives.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Represents the Finance department on systems projects around the Company that have or may have a potential impact on the Finance department.
- Reviews project charters and updates Finance management on the ongoing progress of Technology led projects through regular reports.
- Manages the collection of Finance business requirements and Finance’s contribution to the project including testing.
- Manages and maintains all Finance systems from the business user perspective, including the development and execution of project plans relating to the periodic upgrades of the systems and changes to the system setup to accommodate recent business or accounting changes. (e.g. Guidewire Suite / Financial Data Warehouse)
- Influences and/or participates in broader organizational activities and planning.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of related work experience.
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or in the process of acquiring CPA preferred
- Job Specific & Technical Skills & Competencies
- General knowledge of accounting and audit theory.
- Advanced skill in MS Excel and Office suite.
