Reporting to the Regional Director of Sales, the Director of Business Development will oversee all activities pertaining to their market or markets for all hotels in the defined area.

**WHAT YOU'LL DO**

The Director of Business Development will be responsible for the following:

- Draft and negotiate proposals for the group market and or business travel
- Manage existing account performance and develop accounts with potential
- Canvass through prospecting, calls for tender and sales events
- Represent Germain Hôtels at trade fairs and during sales campaigns
- Oversee all activity of one or multiple markets for multiple hotels.
- Be a resource for ongoing training of Business Development Managers in their area.
- Maintain current market intelligence and communicate information on trends and activities to team, GMs and RDOS.
- Participate in the budget process for their markets.
- Track and review ongoing results.
- Create and execute action plans to achieve desired results.
- Work in collaboration with team members to ensure service standards are upheld.
- Represent hotel to guests and general public in such a way as to enhance the quality, image and reputation of Germain Hotels.
- Set an example to all employees in terms of job competence, organization, knowledge, guest service and professional appearance.
