Additionally, the position manages (in conjunction with two other sales managers) a staff of roughly 15-20, between sales, clerical, and admin staff. Experience in hiring and people management is a bonus. Customer service is also a large part of the position, managing customer expectations, satisfaction, and experience. Closing sales deals on the floor and over the phone, speaking with all visiting prospects in store, and following up with deliveries of new vehicles are all part of the role.

Sales managers are also responsible for budget setting, measurement of averages, penetration rates, and product training. Finance and insurance experience is a bonus.

Work closely with general management, and interdepartmental managers to drive results through organization, action, and controls. Goals are set for profitability of dealership and department, as well as volume and inventory management.

Scheduled hours are 40-50 per week with additional as required. Dealership is open from 8am to 8pm in sales, managers work 5 days per week, with Sundays off, as well as one day off from Tuesday-Friday.

A strong pay plan with salary and variable bonus is paid, along with health and dental benefits, and profit sharing options.

Required education:

- Diploma/Certificate

Required experience:

- Automotive Sales Management: 3 years
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive market.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding of automotive leads management and sales processes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and motivate the new car sales team to achieve sales targets and objectives.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market share.
- Manage the entire sales process, from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and closing.
- Train, coach, and mentor sales staff to enhance their skills and performance.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth.
- Establish and maintain relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- Oversee business office to ensure we maximize all opportunities.
- Collaborate with other departments such as service, parts, business office and accounting to provide integrated solutions and exceptional customer experiences.
- Oversee inventory management and allocation to optimize sales and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
