Key Account Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager to join our team. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with our clients, ensuring their satisfaction and driving business growth. This is a key role that requires strong sales skills, leadership abilities, and the ability to analyze market trends and negotiate effectively in the Grocery industry.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Retail Sales**: Manage national distributor to ensure they are meeting targets and identifying all potential opportunities. This entails meeting with them regularly, conducting business reviews, ensuring promos and deal sheets are submitted, responding to any order related inquiries, presenting them with new product information and samples, and identifying any distribution gaps. Conduct regular store visits to mainstream retailers and ethnic stores. Ensure shelves are stocked, merchandised correctly, and price tags are displayed accurately. Develop relationships with grocery managers to secure off-shelf display opportunities and gather competitive intelligence.
- **Ethnic Distributors**: Work closely with ethnic distributors to increase sales. Conduct store visits and ensure proper product placement and promotion, like mainstream retail store visits. Identify potential new distributors in areas where we have no presence and build new relationships.
- **Distributor Support**: Communicate with both ethnic and mainstream distributors to ensure shelves are adequately stocked and gaps are filled promptly.
- **Relationship Building**: Build strong relationships with grocery store managers and store managers to enhance brand visibility and sales. Collaborate with distributors to support their efforts in filling gaps on the shelves.
- **Travel**: Occasional travel to the USA is required to develop new ethnic distributor relationships and attend industry events. Some international travel may also be required.
**Marketing Responsibilities**:
- **Tradeshow Management**: Co-manage KFI tradeshow events, including booth setup, meeting potential customers, and following up on sales leads. Assist the Director of Marketing in managing the booth and ensuring effective representation of the brand.
- **Brand Ambassadorship**: Represent KFI at product demonstration events and promotions. Work closely with the Director of Marketing & Sales to ensure product demonstrations are executed effectively. Conduct store visits during promotional periods to ensure execution and provide feedback.
**Requirements / Qualifications**:
- Daily access to a reliable vehicle for travel within the GTA.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a sales role related to Food & Beverage
- University degree or College diploma.
- Self-motivated with strong time management skills.
- Demonstrated success in driving business growth and achieving sales target
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze market data and identify trends
- Experience in business development is a plus
**Salary**: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
