Administrative Assistant- Contract Position

**Your Day at a Glance**
The administrative assistant is responsible for creating requisitions, making changes and receiving items in connection with indirect materials required in the company’s activities. Ensures that all relevant documentation is kept up to date, and that all activities organized in connection with employee reunions run smoothly. The administrative assistant also plays an important role on the francization and retirement committees, taking meeting minutes and organizing meetings. This position is an opportunity to put your organizational skills and attention to detail to good use, as well as your versatility.
This position is 16 months contract.
**How You Will Make a Difference**
- Create of requisitions for non-production materials
- Modify and receive orders for indirect materials
- Identify and resolve order matching problems
- Perform inventory transfers
- Prepare, print and digitalize travel maps
- Track and update the internal employee innovation program
- Sort and distribute production employees’ pay stubs to the responsible persons
- Attend and take minutes at retirement committee meetings
- Organize meetings of the francization committee
- Prepare and organize company activities
- Make reservations when required
- Receive calls and mail
- Update telephone lists and create various documents
- Support social club activities
- Produce and edit internal notices
**What You Will Bring to the Company**
- Diploma of Vocational Studies in accounting and secretarial studies (or equivalent)
- Three to five years of relevant experience in a similar position;
- Good understanding of the indirect order process
- Knowledge of SAP an asset
- Advanced English skills are a significant asset (spoken and written);
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Curiosity, attention to detail, and autonomy
- Initiative, an openness to new ideas, and a positive attitude to change
- Organization and the ability to work in a team

Our Trois-Rivières plant manufactures distribution transformers for the North American power grid. We belong to a group of North American plants that collaboratively share good practices, discuss challenges, and help one another on a day-to-day basis. The administration team includes members who bring experience, as well as a fresh perspective, to help maximize the efficiency of our activities.
