**About the Internship Opportunity with the Philanthropy Office**
As a newer department, you’ll play a role in all aspects of the fundraising cycle, provide general coordination support, and help us plan and execute donor engagement activities. This is a terrific opportunity to be exposed to all of the great social impact work happening across MaRS while exploring and developing your skills in fundraising. In your role, you’ll do things like:

- Donor prospecting and research
- Generating acknowledgment and stewardship plans for donors
- Helping the team stay organized and on top of a growing portfolio

The MaRS Centre at 101 College Street, Toronto is a vibrant, architecturally inspiring complex connected to the subway. In early 2014, MaRS increased its innovation footprint to 1.5 million square feet with the opening of its 20-storey West Tower, making it one of the world’s largest innovation hubs
You’ll be provided with the required equipment and necessary communication tools to be able to collaborate effectively with your team and all MaRSians, which is core to our ability to deliver on our mission and values
Working for a mission-driven organization, you will gain exposure into the MaRS ecosystem, and will have the opportunity to connect with passionate, smart, and engaged teams across MaRS.
**The Fine Print**
Applicants can either be a 2023 graduate of a post-secondary program or returning to post-secondary studies in Fall 2023.
**The internship runs May 1 - August 25, 2023.**
**Hourly salary rate: $22 - $27**
