**Job Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**

**Payroll Administration**:

- Manage and run Canadian payroll through ADP Workforce Now.
- Work closely with the Controller to support the general ledger activities around payroll.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll, including year-end payroll activities such as reconciliations and T4 adjustments.
- Administer leaves of absence in accordance with company policies
- Ensure accurate reporting to Worker's Compensation Board’s across Canada.

**HR Support**:

- Prepare offer letters for new hires.
- Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, including the collection of personal information for payroll administration.
- Assist management with the recruiting process, including preparing job descriptions and posting job ads on Indeed and other platforms.
- Support employees in their benefits enrollments and provide guidance on benefit options.
- Administer the performance review process and employee achievement programs.
- Assist with the implementation and administration of employee recognition and reward programs.
- Provide administrative support for various HR projects and initiatives.

**Compliance and Reporting**:

- Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports related to payroll, benefits, and other HR activities.
- Handle confidential information with utmost discretion and in compliance with data protection regulations.

**Administrative Responsibilities**:

- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date HR and payroll files.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll and HR administration, preferably with experience in Canadian payroll and ADP Workforce Now.

**Skills and Competencies**:

- Strong knowledge of payroll practices and procedures.
- Familiarity with Canadian employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

**Working Conditions**
- Primarily office-based with occasional requirements for travel.
- Standard working hours with potential for extended hours during peak periods such as year-end payroll processing.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
