**Job Summary**:
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll activities for employees within the organization. This role involves managing payroll systems, calculating wages and deductions, processing payments, and maintaining payroll records. The Payroll Administrator also handles inquiries from employees regarding payroll matters and collaborates with other departments to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.

**How You Will Make an Impact**:

- Process payroll for employees on a regular basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Calculate wages, deductions, bonuses, and other payments accurately.
- Maintain payroll records and documentation in compliance with D2L policies and the countries regulatory requirements.
- Handle and resolve payroll inquiries from employees and provide assistance and resolutions as needed.
- Distribute reports when requested.
- Collaborate with People and Culture (PnC), Benefits, Equity, Commissions departments to ensure accurate employee data and compliance.
- Responsible for payroll audits and reconciliation
- Support ad-hoc payroll reports and projects as assigned.

**What You’ll Bring to the Role**:

- Proven experience as a payroll administrator / processor
- Good understanding of payroll processes, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Great communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Problem solving skills and ability to troubleshoot payroll issues.

**Education Recommendations**:

- Post secondary school diploma or equivalent.
- Payroll Certification
