The Financial Management Office is the central financial team for the BC Public Service Agency and is responsible for financial management strategies and overall financial management framework. The Office establishes financial structure, processes, controls and reporting to ensure finances are effectively managed and fiscal targets are met. Services include budgeting and forecasting for expenditures, recoveries and capital, corporate activities and reporting, core financial operations, financial policy advice and contract management administration and expertise.

This position manages, plans and coordinates government-wide employee leave financial management, and payroll accounting, including policies, processes, systems and financial services.

**Job Requirements**:

- Professional accounting designation preferred (CPA); or an equivalent education and experience may be considered i.e. Bachelor of Public Administration or Business Administration, Commerce, Economics or other, relevant financial discipline or a Diploma in a relevant financial discipline or other relevant equivalent combination of education and extensive related experience may be considered.)
- At least three (3) years progressively responsible experience in financial management, including financial reporting, analysis, accounting and financial oversight.
- At least two (2) years of experience in business analysis.
- At least two (2) years of experience and demonstrated success in the coordination, delivery and maintenance of high quality customer service.
- At least two (2) year of experience in the leadership and supervision of staff, including performance management.

Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

- Experience in benefits, leave, payroll, and human resource functions preferred.
