Human Resources Manager

**Job Summary**:
To fulfill the role of the senior Human Resources Manager for the INPS Group of Companies that are located in various sales and production facilities throughout North America. The INPS Group H.R Manager will plan and carry out policies relating to all phases of the Human Resources function, while promoting a fair and equitable work environment. The incumbent shall provide a leadership role in the determination of and the supply of the required level of personnel to meet present and future operational needs as they may vary from site to site and company to company.
.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities include overseeing, managing and being ultimately responsible for**:
- Employee hiring and orientation programs.
- INPS Group Training Needs Analysis.
- The planning and administration of salary, wages and benefits, including recommendations for changes/improvement and where necessary the implementation of wage and salary evaluations and grids by region/company.
- Overseeing position analysis and the creation of job descriptions for all departments and subordinates
- Authoring and posting, employment advertisements as required for the INPS Group of Companies
- Overseeing, Determining, and securing Environmental factors in the workplace(s)
- Human Resources Policies and Procedures recommendations and maintenance, including recommendations for issues related to dismissal and/or progressive discipline and absenteeism.
- Encouraging management and subordinate staff to conduct exit interviews and/or separation analysis reports
- Health and Safety Policy and Procedure implementation and maintenance, including the management of the Health and Safety Committee(s) by location as locations/entities change/increase/are modified.
- Working with subordinate staff to provide Career Assessment and counseling to all employees
- Working with subordinate staff to maintain the Employee Assistance Program
- Maintaining the current INPS Group Organization Chart including management and Human Resources
- The liaison with all required levels of government as regards to human resources including the potential to engage with Police, Fire, and Emergency Services.
- The representation of the INPS Group at meetings, conventions and public occasions, as directed..
- Upon request, attendance at the various production and management meetings.
- The establishment and maintenance of the INPS Group HR budgets by entity and/or manager.
- Communication with local college/university/education/training authorities regarding reference courses, employees, students, training and syllabus needs with a view to the satisfaction of corporate needs.
- Recommendation of and/or implementation of group medical and other benefits and changes.
- The negotiation with employee benefits providers ensuring optimal sustainable value for all concerned..
- Recommending sustainable corporate measures to ensure optimum employee morale and productivity
- Communicating informally with personnel to facilitate effective interpersonal communications and to ascertain human relations and work related problems that adversely affect employee morale and productivity.
- Communicating regularly with the satellite operations of the INPS Group providing HR support as required
- Acting as chief liaison with legal counsel regarding employment matters.
- Liaising with other HR professionals (from outside the organization) re up and coming HR issues and concerns
- Providing wage and salary survey information within the labor market to determine competitive wage rates
- Performing other functions and duties as they relate to satellite divisions of the Group
**Education and/or Experience**:
Post-Secondary Education, preferably with a Human Resources concentration and at least five years of progressive and/or generalist experience. Incumbent should be a proficient user of typical IT technology systems and programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. The INPS Group H.R. Manager shall have a basic understanding of local employment law and further understand how to research and garner the necessary information regarding employment legislation by region, as required for each entity within the Group.
Experience having worked with international HR consultants would be a definite asset
**Travel**:
Some international travel may be required from time to time to meet and /work with INPS Group staff at various sites
**Languages**: Fluent verbal and written English required. Fluent Spanish would be an asset.
