IT Governance Coordinator

Support the IT governance program by ensuring compliance throughout the Data and Technology department, ensuring consistent and effective practices, policies and procedures. With a focus on IT Asset Management providing analytical, operational, and administrative support for the IT Asset Management (ITAM) process. This includes IT asset tracking for software and hardware, compliance, lifecycle planning, and costing activities. This role will regularly interface with various areas of the organization requiring a basic understanding of IT asset management.
**As a member of this team, you will be responsible for**:
Support organizational strategies, initiatives and policies and communicating IT governance guidelines, best practices, or procedural changes to impacted parties
Ensure monitoring oversight of IT Governance & published Policies & Standards
IT asset tracking for software and hardware, compliance, lifecycle planning, and costing activities
Develop, analyze, document, and validate IT Governance requirements and/or specifications
Support the development and delivery of IT Governance documentation (ensuring that necessary certification and audit controls are addressed).
Accountable for managing evidence, meetings, and walkthroughs
Coordinate the documentation, recommendations, and implementation of corrective measures.
Collect information for budgeting, software and hardware compliance & inventory, contract summaries, and cost comparisons.
Develop and produce meaningful IT Asset Management reporting for management including Auditors
Optimize the use of IT assets throughout their life cycle and manage their inventory
Collaborate with the Vendor Management services team for purchase requisitions as well as expedite procurement or resolve issues with current and in progress requests.
**To succeed in this role, you have**:
Study to university degree level or, in the process of graduating: computer science, business, or an equivalent education in the area of IT
An introductory level, along with some experience and a strong interest in the areas of (IT) governance, (IT) controls or quality management techniques, Technology Risk
Some knowledge and experience in the operational aspects of compliance, and information security management controls and implementation of policies relating to these areas.
Experience in developing, coordinating and contributing to initiatives that cross several functional areas and building strong working relationships across areas
Basic understanding of IT asset management discipline as well as demonstrated knowledge of managing Information Technology hardware and software assets.
Up to date with developments and best practices in the Asset Management Discipline to coordinate the continuous improvement of the IT Asset Management Program. Experience developing reports and formal IT documentation
IT Asset Management and Tools experience, specifically ServiceNow
Highly self-motivated and directed.
Strong written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent researching ability
Ability to effectively organize and prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Must be proficient with using Excel for Data Analysis, PowerPoint for Infographics; SharePoint, TEAMS for Collaboration and PowerApps would be an asset
Detail Oriented with very strong analytical, problem solving skills and an ability to translate technical requirements and specifications into easily understood business concepts
Excellent time management skills ensuring requests are resolved quickly, and in priority order
