Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Governance Coordinator to support the President and CEO of our client, the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in minute-taking, governance, and board support, ensuring seamless execution of board meetings and activities.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate on experience.

You will be working Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:00pm or 8:00am to 4:00pm, depending on your preference.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the executive calendar, ensuring seamless scheduling and organization
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, accommodations, and itineraries
  • Oversee email management, responding to correspondence and ensuring timely communication
  • Prepare high-quality presentations, reports, and documents to support executive needs
  • Coordinate events, meetings, and logistics, ensuring flawless execution
  • Assist with budget preparation and financial planning
  • Develop and maintain committee scorecards, tracking progress and performance
  • Coordinate leadership meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
  • Support the CEO in their capacity as Corporate Secretary
  • Interact with the Board, Executive Committee, and Governance and Nominating Committee
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field; certification in Office Administration an asset
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as an Executive Assistant, with a proven track record of success ideally supporting a CEO
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish trust with senior management, board members, staff, and stakeholders
  • Impeccable judgment, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Proactive approach with the ability to anticipate and prioritize tasks, often before they are requested by the CEO
