**Role: Data Governance Business Analyst**

**Location: Onshore - Toronto, Canada**

**Duration: Fulltime**

**Responsibilities**:

- Should be able to assess the data is well governed for the selective use cases, by pulling together the data dictionary, the data attributes etc.
- Capable to understand the way around Databases and DB design.
- Identify and collaborate with data owners & stewards across different departments to ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency.
- Support a network of data owners & stewards with appropriate data governance.
- Ensure the Data organization knows what & where the data it uses resides through the agreed Enterprise Data Governance tools.
- Work with Data Architecture and Data Stewards, to model the information required to support the organisation.
- Champion training and awareness programs to educate employees on data governance best practices.
- Support the evaluation, selection and implementation of data governance tools and technologies to support data governance initiatives.
- Regularly assess and refine data governance processes and policies in line with the industry best practice, to promote continuous improvement.

**Skills**
- Proven experience in data governance, data management or related areas in Business Analyst role.
- Need to be good BAs in doing research and doing documentation and write-ups.
- Strong understanding of data governance concepts, principles, and best practices
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven leadership and ability to build and sustain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at a strategic level.
- Excellent communication, both in listening and conveying messages to a wide range of stakeholder groups.
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Personal ownership to continually learn.
- Ability to promote healthy feedback and learning environment.
- Well organized, with a focus on consistently delivering on commitments.
- Ability to produce high quality presentation materials.

**Experience**
- Around 10 years
- Preferably in corporate finance

Pay: Up to $100.00 per year
