Why is this role important?
- system performance information and reporting needs. Key activities include leading consultations, preparing reports and summaries, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and coordinating communications activities for key organizational priorities. tOverall, the Program lead will engage with stakeholders to improve and accelerate the production of health information that is relevant to decision-makers at the facility, regional, provincial and pan-Canadian levels.
- What you'll do
- In consultation with the Manager, defines the overall program of work including milestones, reporting frequency and and method of delivery.
- Plans, leads and executes ongoing engagement with key stakeholders and the public to ensure information and reporting needs are identified. This includes coordinating meetings, identifying information requirements, creating and maintaining a repository of resources and collaborating internally to develop information solutions.
- Provides support to internal and external strategic committees, which may include planning and organizing meetings, producing relevant supporting documentation, coordinating information dissemination, and undertaking follow-up activities, as required.
- Prepares presentations for internal and external stakeholders on key initiatives.
- In consultation with the Manager, develops background papers or briefing documents on communications initiatives related to the program of work and assists in the development of potential recommendations for consideration by external stakeholders.
- Leads and coordinates internal engagement initiatives that cut across more than one branch, including planning coordinating, and reporting.
- Leads or co-leads projects involving multiple internal/external teams. Performs all project management related activities, including development of communications and engagements strategies. and managing timelines.
- Contributes to the promotion of CIHI engagement activities through participation on committees, presentations, and other activities, as required.

What you'll bring to the table
- Graduate degree in journalism, communications or similar field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered..
- Five years related work experience in stakeholder engagement.
- Strong project management skills and experience, including an ability to problem solve in a fast-changing environment
- Superior writing skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering presentations and education to a variety of stakeholders.
- Experience in the healthcare field is a definite asset.
- Ability to work in a high-paced team setting and to work independently.
- Excellent planning and organizing skills.
- Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (especially Word and PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines.
- Fluency in both official languages is a definite asset.
- Ability to meet travel requirements.
