**Community Engagement Lead - Fresh Produce**

**Location**:PEC, ON

**Job Summary**: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Engagement Lead to join our team. The Community Engagement Lead will play a pivotal role in connecting the container farm with the local community. Responsible for developing and implementing engagement strategies, organizing events, and fostering relationships, this role seeks to promote sustainability and cultivate a strong sense of community.

**Key responsibilities and accountabilities**:

- Develop and implement strategies to engage with the local community effectively.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand community needs and interests.
- Plan and organize community events, workshops, and tours to showcase the container farm and its offerings.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for community inquiries and concerns.
- Foster relationships with community members, local organizations, and key stakeholders.
- Gather feedback and insights from community interactions to inform decision-making and improve engagement efforts.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive communication plan to keep the community informed about farm activities and initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships and collaboration within the community to enhance the farm's impact and reach.
- Support sustainability initiatives and promote eco-tourism principles through community engagement activities.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community engagement efforts, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve objectives.

**About you**:

- Have a genuine interest in agriculture, urban farming, or related fields.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and connect with diverse community members effectively.
- Capable of delivering accurate results in a fast-paced and dynamic atmosphere
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as in teams.
- Problem-solving and proactive approach, ability to think creatively about how to address challenges.
- Strong work ethics with a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
