Stakeholder Engagement Manager

**About the Position**:
Reporting to the Director of Policy and Public Affairs, the Stakeholder Engagement Manager fosters collaboration and coordination between ONCAT, postsecondary education institutions, and relevant stakeholders and supports the development and coordination of strategic initiatives that improve opportunities for learner mobility, including credit transfer, in Ontario.
**Responsibilities**:** **Stakeholder Engagement (50%)**
- Engages Ontario's regions and communities through facilitated groups.
- Hosts events that bring together credit transfer experts from across the province.
- Develops and manages the overall stakeholder engagement approach, developing stakeholder profiles and aligning relevant communications activities.
- Develops effective relationships with and provides leadership to key stakeholders, partners and the community to support a student-first agenda.
- Identifies additional permanent/ad hoc committees as required.
- Maintains and nurtures positive and productive working relationships with internal team members and external stakeholders.
- Involves stakeholders in the development of resources as needed.
**Events and Project Management (30%)**
- Plays a lead role in ONCAT’s conference content planning with the support of an Event Planner.
- Supports projects aimed at creating and expanding credit transfer pathways and improving understanding of student mobility and the student transfer experience.
- Manages a diverse range of events including workshops, meetings and presentations.
- Reviews and approves content and resources for events to ensure they are in line with ONCAT messaging and stakeholder priorities.
- Organizes and coordinates workshop/meeting facilitators.
**Communications (20%)**
- Collaborates with Communications department to ensure alignment in messaging regarding stakeholder groups.
- Develops, designs, implements and presents surveys relevant to certain content areas and or stakeholder groups.
- Contributes information to ONCAT’s website, e-newsletter and updates.
**Essential Qualifications and Experiences**:
- Undergraduate degree in Political Science, Community Development, or other relevant program
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the education or not-for-profit sector
- Understanding of different engagement strategies for diverse stakeholder groups
- Ability to initiate, plan, implement, monitor and finalize projects both large and small
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and change management skills
- Demonstrated experience planning large and small events
- Excellent knowledge of and experience with adult education principles and methodologies
- Excellent strategic planning and thinking skills
- Ability to delegate work to others within and outside the organization
- Demonstrated history of defining goals, establishing internal controls and working within tight deadlines
- Fluency in French and English preferred
