**Job Summary**:To manage all aspects of the employee journey, including attracting, recruiting, onboarding, training, development, and engagement for both the Calgary and Edmonton locations. Develop and implement effective strategies to continuously improve the Human Resources department and facilitating effective operation, contributing to a positive work environment.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement strategies to attract talent for various positions within the organization.
- Prepare offers of employment carefully considering the legal requirements, clear communication and mutual agreement between the employee and company.
- Coordinate and facilitate new employee orientations.
- Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
- Support the retention of employees by developing and maintaining positive relationships.
- Facilitate the employee performance review process to ensure managers are monitoring, evaluating, and developing their team.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Partner with leadership to identify talent developments and create talent pipelines for succession planning to help seamlessly transition employees into new roles.
- Participate in networking events and develop relationships with external recruitment agencies, educational institutions, and other talent pipelines.
- Seek and actively participate in professional development activities, attend HR conferences and seminars, and leverage online resources to continually enhance knowledge and skills in HR, staying updated on the latest trends.
- Stay updated with changes to employment laws, regulations, and best practices, ensuring the organization remains compliant and effectively adapts to evolving HR practices.
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment and enhance employee satisfaction.
- Seek professional advice when needed to ensure compliance and applicable laws to protect the interests of both the employee and the company.
- Effectively update employee records, ensuring accurate and accessible information.
- Monitor and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Cross-train with all positions under the HR umbrella for vacation coverage or unexpected absences.
- Participate in project teams, contributing to the overall success of the organizational initiatives.
- Additional responsibilities may be required.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's Degree and/or College Diploma in Human Resources, specifically Talent Management or Recruiting
- Proven minimum of 10 years’ experience in recruiting and talent management.
- Highest level of trust and confidentiality
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
