Job Overview

The Human Resources and Safety Coordinator is an administrative role that requires a dedicated individual who can efficiently manage HR duties while ensuring our safety protocols are effectively implemented and maintained.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, conducting pre-employment checks, preparing onboarding material, and performing new hire orientations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and relevant documentation.
  • Assist with HR reporting and overall performance metrics.
  • Coordinate and support employee training programs, including learning & development and compliance training.
  • Promote HR initiatives and manage intranet.
  • Develop, prepare, implement, and monitor safety procedures and policies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Ensure compliance with OHS, client requirements, and other relevant safety regulations, conducting regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards.
  • Track and maintain incidents log and safety statistics.
  • Assist with facilitating internal/external safety training.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in business, marketing, or related field.
  • 1-3 years' experience in an administrative role, preferably having supported human resources and/or health, safety, and environment.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with HR practices, including recruitment and knowledge of employment standards and Human Rights Legislation.
  • Experience with safety compliance, OHS regulations, and conducting safety audits.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Compensation Package

We offer a competitive compensation package paired with extended medical and dental coverage, RRSP matching, and vision care. The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000, depending on location and experience.
