**Administrative Assistant Job Description**
Administrative Assistants have a broad and important role in the success of KMA Chartered Professional Accountants Ltd. The administrative assist the account managers complete engagements in a timely and efficient manner. (KMA) The efficient and timely completion of engagements is a key success factor for KMA.
This role requires a breadth of knowledge and skills. The general skills and aptitudes include:
- Proficiency in word processing software
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Strong grammar skills
- Organization skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Flexibility
- Time management skills
- The ability to learn new software
- Self - starter
- Attention to detail
**Specific Tasks**
- Managing Account Managers Calendars
- Assist with the communication for client year ends
- Assist with client relationships by sending out engagement letters, and the completed documents once the engagement is complete.
- Book client meetings
- Working to ensure that engagements are completed in a timely manner.
**About KMA**
KMA Chartered Professional Accountants is a growing local Nanaimo area CPA firm currently located in Lantzville. KMA will soon be moving to a new permanent office in North Nanaimo. The office has a wide variety of clients, covering manufacturing, services, and numerous industry types. KMA embraces technology and improvement to how we work.
The office provides a rich learning environment for staff as they are exposed to different clients, a variety of industries, and numerous opportunities to learn. In addition to Canadian taxation, the firm also has a significant US tax practice.

Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
**Education**:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
**Experience**:
