**Sales Account Executive (Edmonton)**

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Responsible for the entire sales cycle of customer accounts and products assigned
- Accountable for providing the highest level of customer service by understanding and identifying customer needs or goals and developing good rapport and solution-based relationships with potential and existing customers.
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets and report KPI’s to the sales manager and key department managers
- Collaborate with internal team members to ensure that projects are on time and within budget
- Provide sales planning, strategy development, and plan implementation
- Promote products & services to new clients to increase awareness of Canaan’s full-service offerings
- Integrate new leads and prospects into the company CRM system as required to help the long-term management of our customers
- Grow developing & profitable transport channels such as air, ocean and/or project cargo

**Qualifications**:
**‘Must Haves’**
- Current accounts that can migrate to company
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- Minimum five years of work experience with B2B and/or sales experience
- Small to medium size business sales experience with a focus in freight forwarding
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- No non-competes with existing company
- Excellent English communication skills both verbal and written

**‘Preferred’**:

- A degree or diploma in business, marketing or related field
- knowledge and/or experience in Logistics industry would be an asset
- Proven ability to be persistent and motivated to achieve your goals to exceed sales targets
- Ambitious and proactive with an entrepreneurial mentality
- Able to develop, foster and maintain relationships

**Location and Additional Information**:

- Full time, permanent
- A valid driver’s license is required. You will be expected to travel throughout Alberta with periodic travel outside to Prairies to attend trade shows, seminars, and networking events to promote the company brand and services.
- Flexible work schedule: occasional evening and weekend work maybe required to maximize customer contact
