Position Summary:
Acuren is actively seeking a Resource Coordinator to join our team on a full-time basis, with a primary focus on supporting projects in the Prairies Region. This position will be site based in the Edmonton office on a hybrid schedule. **Responsibilities**:
The main areas of focus will be

**Identifying Resource Needs**:

- Assessing project requirements and resource allocation needs.
- Collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to understand resource needs.
- Conducting ongoing analysis of resource availability and skills
- Partnering with Talent Acquisition Team

**Resource Acquisition**:

- Maintaining an internal resource list/database.
- Partnering with Talent Acquisition

**Resource Deployment**:

- Providing staff with clear communications/information regarding their work assignments;
- Matching resources to projects based on skills, availability, and project needs.
- Coordinating with project managers for efficient resource allocation.
- Managing resource schedules, ensuring timely deployment and efficient utilization.
- Maintaining documentation of resource assignments, updates, and changes.
- Coordinating with HR and hiring teams to facilitate the onboarding process for new resources.
- Effectively and quickly managing issues/conflicts/ priorities related to the planning, scheduling and dispatching of staff to support a smooth work flow.
- Ensuring applicable collective agreement provisions are consistently applied in the technician/client interaction.

**Resource Promotion and Engagement**:

- Managing communication and feedback between resources and project managers.
- Encouraging and fostering an engaged and productive resource pool through regular communication and support.
- Identifying opportunities to improve staff satisfaction and engagement;

**Reporting and Analysis**:

- Tracking and analyzing resource utilization metrics, including availability, utilization rates, and conflicts.
- Preparing regular reports and insights to senior management regarding resource availability, allocation, and capacity constraints.
- Identifying trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement in resource management processes.
- Providing recommendations and suggestions for optimizing resource allocation and utilization.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 2 years’ industry-related experience
- Secondary school diploma, or a post-secondary diploma in a related field
- An understanding of clients’ technical needs to effectively fulfill service requirements
- Knowledge of AIT and industrial trades
- Knowledge of the QCC collective agreement to ensure compliance with terms and conditions
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage a broad range of internal and external contacts
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Proficiency in using scheduling software and other relevant tools
- Excellent problem solving, customer service, organizational and time management skills
