Human Resources Coordinator

Overview:
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and/or undertaking efforts in the areas of recruitment, orientation, training, and retention of employees within the Agency. Additionally, the Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for collecting, organizing, monitoring and reporting of employment documentation and training requirements of employees. The Human Resources Coordinator is also responsible for the purchasing of general office supplies, and general administrative duties within and outside of the office. Work is done collaboratively with agency staff, the supervisory/management team, external agencies, suppliers and clients. The Human Resources Coordinator is accountable to the Manager of Human Resources. This position is a salaried, permanent position of 40 hours weekly. The Human Resources Coordinator is eligible for the Alta Care Resources Extended Benefits Plan (Level A) after the 3-month waiting period.
**Duties**:
- Assist in recruitment processes, including job postings, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.
- Identify staffing requirements within each individual program by contacting Program Supervisors, Program Managers, and/or Directors to determine staffing needs
- Complete staff orientation to present the Human Resources portion to new personnel
- Maintain employee records and ensure all documentation is up-to-date, electronic and hard copy.
- Coordinate, develop, and distribute quarterly training schedule including orientation dates, Critical Response Training, Suicide Intervention Training, Indigenous Awareness Training, Medical Administration, First Aid Training and other non-regular training
- Assist in benefits administration and enrollment processes.
- Collaborate with HR team members to implement HR policies and procedures.
- Handle employee inquiries and provide necessary HR-related information.
- Assist in data collection and analysis for HR metrics reporting.
- Coordinate social events for staff and other connections with staff
**- **Oversee audits to ensure the accuracy of employment information submitted to payroll and processed in the system
- Train others / aid others as required on how to navigate through systems
Qualifications:
- Education in Human Resources or related field.
- Proven experience as an HR Coordinator or similar role.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with data collection and analysis tools is a plus.
