Front Desk Supervisor

Thunderbird Motor Inn is searching for a customer centric Front Desk Supervisor. You are responsible for the overall performance of the Front Desk team including night auditor. You will provide leadership, direction, and guidance to the team, ensuring the guests receive the highest level of service, and completing administrative tasks, while maximizing room revenue and occupancy. You will be working a rotating schedule, covering shifts on the front desk and night auditor.
**Summary of Responsibilities**:Reporting to the General Manager, the Front Desk supervisor’s responsibilities and job duties include:
- Supervise, hire and train staff in all the job duties, safety procedures and company policies, managing day to day operations
- Manage the Front Desk, Housekeeping, assign/review the workflow, and Maintenance plus maintain the property on a daily basis.
- Make reservations, amend reservations, check in & check out guests and attend to their needs.
- Establish work schedules and procedures, coordinate tasks with the Housekeeping department. Develop and implement policies and procedures for daily operations
- Manage requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Negotiate with suppliers. Arrange for maintenance and repair work
- Fields guests’ complaints and inquiries while developing and negotiating the most effective solutions. Resolve work-related problems, prepare/submit progress and other reports
- Managing payment (payroll, accounts receivable and payable)
- Conduct performance reviews and performance management regularly
- Complete daily checklists and clearly communicate through daily pass on with colleagues
- Rate and room inventory management. Maximize room revenue through guest satisfaction. Manage inventory levels to drive revenues during peak periods
- Seek feedback on guest satisfaction and resolves problems in meaningful ways to exceed expectations
- Develop, implement and maintain new incentives to motivate employees.
**Job Requirements**:
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills, must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
- Strong guest service orientation and training skills background required
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, being able to create and maintain spreadsheets
- enthusiastic, highly organized, a multi-tasker, prioritize job duties, attention to details and open to learn.
- Must be willing to work overnights, holidays and weekends. Full available schedule to be able to cover sick calls.
- Ability to work flexible schedules and fill in staff shifts (including evenings, weekends and overnights if required)
- Performs any and all other job duties as assigned by the management team
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
