**Position Purpose summary**:Toronto Harbour Light Treatment Program provides live-in treatment support for men with substance use/concurrent disorders, working from a trauma informed perspective. Manager leads the day to day operations of onsite team. Position requires budgeting, planning and administration, along with clinical supervision of multiple teams and liaising with various community partners.

**MANAGERIAL/Technical Leadership RESPONSIBILITY**:
- Direct reports for this position: Concurrent Disorder Counsellors, Floor Counsellor, Intake Worker, Program Nurse
- Attendance/participation in various groups within the addiction treatment field as determined with Director of Client Services
- Review and approve all class material and other programming items
- Provides On-Call support and scheduling of staff shifts
- Ensures new clients are provided with proper orientation to program
- Provides direct supervision to all teams
- Assists in establishing program goals and targets
- Reviews and evaluates the program according to client needs and satisfaction
- Ensures program is client centred and evidence based
- Facilitates and documents supervision meetings
- Implements program changes as determined by management and Salvation Army leadership
- Networks with government and community agencies and Salvation Army Departments
- Facilitates regular Case Conferences, Stand Up Meeting, Tam Meetings
- Supervises all student placements
- Ensures that all staff are trained in their respective roles
- Reviews and updates all policies and procedures as required
**FINANCIAL AND MATERIALS MANAGEMENT**:
- Ensures program expenditures are within the budget
- Works with Director of Client Services and Business Manager, works within program budgets for supplies, trainings, conferences and other expenditures
- Works with staff to ensure health and safety of direct reports
- Reviews and updates as necessary program policies and procedures
- Ensures all staff are trained in appropriate use of cleaning tools, supplies and chemicals
- Manages Inventories
**WORKING CONDITIONS**:
- Standing, sitting, working on a computer for most of hours
- May need to occasionally lift or move larger items
- Most of work to be done in office, on site
- Travel as needed

**education and Qualifications**:
- A graduate level Social Services related Degree (MSW, MA., M.Sc.) or a suitable combination of education and experience.
- Member of a regulatory professional college (e.g. CRPO, OCSWSSW) or ability to become a member of the college
- Minimum of three years' experience in program development & supervision in the addictions field
- Certification or experience in clinical supervision an asset
- Education in trauma informed practice an asset
**Experience and Skilled Knowledge Requirements**
- Financial and cash and other negotiables within the social services sector an asset
- Concurrent Disorders and Evidence Based treatment modalities, Trauma informed service delivery models
- Relapse prevention, Continuing Care, Crisis Intervention and Outcome Measurement
- Basic First Aid/CPR Certification
- Strong sense of integrity and confidentiality; must have professional ethics and balanced sense of fairness and flexibility
- NVCPI certification an asset
- An understanding and support for the mission and purpose of The Salvation Army in Canada and its implications as related to position responsibilities.
