**Role Summary**

The Human Resources Coordinator provides comprehensive support to the Human Resources department reporting to the Executive Director of Human Resources. This unique role provides extensive opportunities to develop and grow in various areas including recruitment, employee relations, multi-jurisdictional employment law, training and development, and health and safety, serving both our Pharmasave East team located in 3 provinces, and importantly, our over 530 stores located in 5 provinces. This multifaceted position requires a detail-oriented individual, capable of managing diverse tasks while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. **Location**

This position is primarily office-based. Our team currently operates from our Markham office for a minimum of three days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remaining days. The organization retains the right to adjust this hybrid arrangement, potentially requiring more frequent office attendance.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in developing and updating HR documents; policies, guidelines and procedures as required.
- Manage recruitment cycles, including job postings, resume screening, scheduling interviews and reference checks. Coordination of recruitment events is included.
- Coordinate, administer and support the facilitation of the onboarding process for region team new hires, cross-department communication and collaboration is essential.
- Coordinate training and development initiatives, including managing the technology, training logistics, and preparing training material.
- Support the development and delivery of training materials and programs.
- Participate in organizing and running team social events and initiatives.
- Support health and safety initiatives by assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Collaborate in HR projects and initiatives as needed; contributing to process improvement and overall HR effectiveness.
- Assist with HR compliance and reporting by ensuring all HR policies/guidelines and procedures are documented and recorded accurately.
- Contribute to generating, analyzing, and presenting HR reports and data.
- Provide support in employee relations matters through guiding and assisting with conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Undertake administrative tasks related to office management, including supply ordering.
- Support and contribute to an inclusive and respectful workplace, handling confidential HR matters discreetly and professionally.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree, diploma or post-diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources is required.
- Working towards a CHRP designation is an asset.
- Strong understanding of HR practices, policies, and Ontario employment legislation (ESA, Human Rights, AODA, Occupational Health & Safety).
- Knowledge of other jurisdiction employment legislation is an asset but not required.
- A strong work ethic and ability to learn quickly and problem solve is a must.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, effectively engaging with employees across all levels and departments.
- Exceptional organizational skills and adeptness at managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to analyze HR challenges critically.

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
