Serruya Private Equity (SPE) is a Canadian-based private equity firm founded by renowned entrepreneurs and investors, with its origins in the frozen dessert industry. Today, SPE’s portfolio spans multiple sectors, including franchising, real estate, consumer products, and retail. Within our different companies we are close to 500 employees across Ontario, British Columbia, and the United States and are poised to expand our HR capabilities as we continue to grow.
**What we are looking for**
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned roles, including job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating with hiring managers.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding, including conducting orientation sessions and managing necessary paperwork.
- Support new employees’ transition to the organization, promoting a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Maintain accurate employee records and with HR documentation.
- Support payroll and benefits administration as needed, assisting employees with HR-related inquiries.
- Assist in developing HR policies and procedures that promote a positive workplace culture.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, including organizing events and coordinating training and development activities.
- Foster a culture of inclusion and positivity within the team, contributing to the organization’s goals of employee satisfaction and retention.
- Participate in and contribute to HR projects, collaborating with team members to support organizational goals and HR best practices.
**Who you are**
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on talent acquisition.
- CHRP/CHRL designation or equivalent (Asset)
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation, with a positive outlook and proactive approach to problem-solving.
