**Production Administrative Assistant**

**We are seeking a Production Administrative Assistant.**

**Requirements**:

- Experience: Min.3 years of office experience.
- **Must have worked in a production/manufacturing environment**:

- Experience with MRP software (ie. JobBOSS or other) is an asset
- Proficient in Excel
- **Excellent data entry skills**:

- **Mathematical proficiency**:

- Reading text and dimensions
- **Must be well organized**:

- Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Communication
- **Attention to detail**:

- **Must be able to multitask in fast paced environment**:

- Experience in a production/manufacturing environment is an asset
- **Must be fluent in English, written and oral.**:

- **Ability to read shop drawings is an asset**:

- **Typing Speed 35 wpm**:

- **Languages**:English

**Area of Specialization**:Production order processing

**Duties Include**:

- Receive phone/fax/Internet orders and process.
- Perform simple calculations to determine blank sizes for production of metal parts.
- Use MRP software to prepare orders for production
- Prepare production labels Monitor orders in production.
- Order Entry/ Prepare packing slips for goods produced and shipped
- Update inventories of products produced and shipped.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure jobs/projects are completed on time
- Coordinate shipments to across Canada and the U.S. (including preparation for shipping and customs documentation) Training is provided.
- Order supplies (i.e. Issue purchase orders) and maintain inventory of stock
- Prepare labels and tags
- Operate a counting scale
- Working with others, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing,
- Type and proofread correspondence, forms and other documents.
- Maintain and prepare reports using JobBOSS production software.
- Create reports using Excel
- Photocopy and collate documents for distribution, mailing and filing
- Prepare inventory labels (for components and finished products)
- Count hardware and accessories for projects using a counting scale
- Prepare part labels using a barcode printer
- Assist other departments with clerical tasks when required
- Continuous Learning

**Terms of Employment**:Permanent, Full Time, Day

**Anticipated Start Date**:September 2023
